The first Tree Terminator tree shear was built in Plato, Missouri, in 1991 by Bill Senter. Bill, a land and cattle owner in the Ozarks, had made a career in agriculture and land management. He recognized the need that farmers and ranchers had to clear overgrown pastures, to selectively remove trees, and to clear fence rows without using a chain attached to a three-point tractor hitch or a chainsaw.
The Tree Terminator brand grew from equipment manufactured and sold by Bill directly to Missouri farmers to a factory with a national distribution network and several pieces of heavy duty equipment designed for use in land management, including several skid steer tree shears and skid steer mowers.
In 2017, Bill sold Grace Manufacturing to his daughter, Joleen. She and her husband, Brian, operate the business today under the same name. Joleen and Brian are also land and cattle owners, and they share Bill’s commitment to manufacturing heavy duty equipment that can be used for a lifetime with routine maintenance.
